Hotpoint PTAC units are designed for effortless installation—simply replace your old unit with the new one! The AH12H12D5B model functions as a cooling unit equipped with a reverse cycle heat pump and electric back-up heat. It boasts a cooling capacity of 12,000 BTUs, supplemented by 10,800 BTUs from the heat pump, and achieves a 10.5 EER rating and 3.2 COP. The 30 amp power cord supports 5.0 kW of electric back-up heat.

As an owner/operator, you benefit from temperature limiting options, allowing you to choose from four settings for optimal comfort and efficiency. Hotpoint integrates an Intuitive Display feature on the control panel, facilitating easy customization of preferences using soft touch pads. Indicator lights and an LCD display provide clear visibility of mode, fan speeds, and temperature, adjustable between °F and °C.

Hotpoint PTAC units include a 30 amp, 208/230 volt power cord, with new installations necessitating a grille and wall sleeve. Existing grilles and sleeves may suffice for replacements.

In the event of a power outage, Hotpoint PTAC units feature Auto Power Recovery, automatically restoring operation to its previous mode once power is restored. They also incorporate Freeze and Frost Protection mechanisms to maintain unit integrity. A sensor on the indoor coil monitors coil temperature, temporarily halting compressor operation until the coils warm to prevent damage. A nine-point diagnostic code system aids in identifying service needs promptly.
